Born in Alliance, Nebraska, Larry Dean Durham embarked on a remarkable journey that seamlessly intertwined his deep-rooted faith with a prolific career in the entertainment industry. From 1970 to 1982, he immersed himself in the Jesus Movement’s transformative wave at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California, where his spiritual journey began.

Under the guidance of influential mentors like Chuck Smith, Chuck Missler, and Rick Warren, Larry’s spiritual foundation was solidified, shaping his worldview and values. This spiritual grounding would later become a guiding force in his personal and professional life.

Larry Durham spent an impressive 36 years in the entertainment industry, leaving an indelible mark as a director of package engineering. His expertise extended across the spectrum of printed packaging, showcasing his mastery in crafting everything from LP Record Jackets to cassettes, CDs, and DVDs. Specializing in custom packaging, he garnered special recognition for his work, earning accolades for outstanding design in movie posters, lobby displays, and more. Larry’s creativity and innovation resulted in 13 patents and numerous prestigious packaging awards throughout his career.

Beyond his impactful career, Larry dedicated himself to serving his community and church. He sat on various boards of church affiliates, contributing his insights to strengthen the spiritual community. As the chairman of His Place Christian Centre in Indiana, Larry was pivotal in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for spiritual growth.

Larry Durham is not just a creative mind in the world of packaging; he is also an accomplished author. His literary contribution, “MTFT (My Thoughts for Today),” is a collection of over 450 devotionals that reflect his profound insights and reflections. Currently residing in North Carolina, Larry Durham is happily married to Nickie and is the loving father of two children, Robert and Mindie. In his retirement, he continues to be a source of inspiration, weaving together a rich tapestry of faith, creativity, and community service that defines his legacy.
